📚 Student-Centered Approach
I consider each student’s unique interests, musical preferences, and the knowledge they already bring with them. Lessons are flexible and responsive - designed to meet students where they are and move at a pace that supports both confidence and curiosity. Through guided exploration, discovery, and encouragement, students develop not only technical skills but a lasting, personal connection to music.
🎯Personalized Goals
Every child is different. Together, we will set realistic and meaningful goals - whether the student wants to play Mozart, write their own songs, or just learn for fun, we set meaningful goals together - balancing structure with creativity.

🎵 Repertoire
I believe in personalized, student-centered learning that honors each student’s unique musical taste. Once a student develops a solid foundation in technique and music fundamentals, they are encouraged to choose songs they genuinely want to play—with my guidance to ensure it fits their current level and helps them grow.
I teach music in all genres and styles, including classical, jazz, pop, musicals, and even video game soundtracks. The repertoire I assign is always tailored to each student’s skill level on piano or trombone.
Some composers and artists my students have enjoyed include:
Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Clementi (Classical)
Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, Billy Joel, Stevie Wonder (Pop/Soul)
Disney songs & musical theatre
Video game music (like Zelda, Mario, etc.)
Jazz standards (Autumn Leaves, Blue Monk, etc.)
Whether it's a Mozart sonatina or a modern hit, my goal is to help students find joy, challenge, and meaning in the music they play.
🎶 Music Theory & Creativity
Students learn theory through real music experiences—not just worksheets. We explore how music works by learning scales, chords, and patterns directly through the songs they play.
In addition, ear training, improvisation, and basic composition are naturally woven into lessons to build creativity and deepen musical understanding. These tools help students become not just performers, but well-rounded musicians who can think and express themselves musically.
🤝Studio Community
Learning music is more fun together. While lessons are individual, I occasionally offer optional group lessons and collaborations, depending on student interest and availability.
